About this category
This award recognises a product, project or team using artificial intelligence or machine learning to solve a real problem, responsibly and with measurable results. Judges look for the problem, the evidence of results and how risks such as bias and privacy were handled.

Open to UK organisations using AI in a product or in their own operations.

Additional criteria
Entries should include a concise case study, supporting figures such as users, uptime, performance, revenue or time saved, and, where possible, feedback from customers or users. Commercially sensitive figures can be given as ranges or percentages, and nothing in an entry is shared beyond the judging panel. Never include credentials, security vulnerabilities that are not yet fixed, or personal data about users. Judges consider the size and stage of the business, so a start up competes on equal terms with an established technology company.
