This award recognises a technology start up that has traded for less than three years and can already show real traction with customers or users. Judges look for the problem solved, the evidence of demand and the team behind it.

Additional criteria
Entries should include a concise case study, supporting figures such as users, uptime, performance, revenue or time saved, and, where possible, feedback from customers or users. Commercially sensitive figures can be given as ranges or percentages, and nothing in an entry is shared beyond the judging panel. Never include credentials, security vulnerabilities that are not yet fixed, or personal data about users. Judges consider the size and stage of the business, so a start up competes on equal terms with an established technology company.
